Dr. Christian H. Neumann joins Desert Advanced Imaging in Indio and Palm Desert, California. He is Board Certied in Diagnostic Radiology in the United States and General Radiology in Germany. He received his medical degree at Johannes Gutenberg University Medical School in Mainz, Germany.

Dr. Neumann completed residencies at both Johannes Gutenberg University Medical School and John Hopkins Hospital; and fellowships in Computed Tomography (CT) and Ultrasound at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Neumann also received a Ph.D. in Aerospace Medicine from Technical University in Munich and the Institute of Aerospace Medicine of the German Airforce.

After his fellowship, Dr. Neumann held teaching positions at Stanford University, and the University of California San Francisco Medical Center, and an appointment as Clinical Professor at University of California San Diego Medical School. During his tenure at UCSF, he was Director of the San Francisco Magnetic Resonance Center which specializes in body as well as bone and joint MRI.

Dr. Neumann is joining us from Desert Medical Imaging Center where he had sta privileges since 2002. Dr. Neumann also held sta appointments as Desert Regional Medical Center, Eisenhower Medical Center and John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital. Dr. Neumann has authored 65 peer reviewed journal articles and ve book chapters, and has given over 75 invited lectures and presentations at scientic meetings worldwide in orthopedic and body MRI as well as abdominal ultrasound and cancer imaging.
